Where did the original armor and clothing parts comes from Tony? Looks great. Guts is one of my favorite characters.

Re: Custom- BERSERK GUTS
I can answer that, Blood Talon.
Dragon made a 12" Berserk figure with all the accessories including his huge sword.
He's called "Black Swordsman" on his box.
There's also a more rare and expensive 'bloody' variant.

The Armor was originally from the brand DRAGON long ago. Kaido actually answer it for me. As for both Kaido and I are huge fans of BERSERK, but we both know the figure deserve either a better body or much posable base body to have. Guts is crazy in the manga, he swing his sword everywhere, but the Dragon body just doesn't quite look right :*(
My Girl friend and I just finish watch the anime again this weekend, and my motivation of making him is all back again

Too busy with work and all, but for sure when we are free once more, we'll be sure to make further progress

Re: Custom- BERSERK GUTS
Tony, just got myself a Guts figure (finally!). I am not in a big rush to do a custom right away, I have a question, is the prosthetic arm articulated at the elbow (with all the bandages?). It seems to be a bit tight, I'm scared to force it.
Also considering taping/blue tacking down the shoulder armors as they are very loose and hang around loosely.
Some of the outfit (like the throwing knife holders and the circular metal belt buckle) started to fall apart with age so I'll have to buy some kind of fabric glue to glue the faux leather suede parts back together before I do a photo shoot of this guy. Any recommendations on what to use, guys?

Re: Custom- BERSERK GUTS
mine doesn't bend at all kaido. i left him as he is, not wanting to force it. i love the figure still. he's in a cabinet with a bunch of medi marvel stuff and he looks brilliant. definitely needs a better body though. i want to maintain the poseability so decided against a muscle body (i currently have him hoisting his sword up across the top of his back). i think i may eventually go for a truetype with some arm skins from somewhere. sovereign studios has excellent muscular ones on offer but shipping and organisation is waaaaaaaaaaay slow (been waiting over 8 months for 2 pairs now).
real shame they never continued the anime series. it would have been magnificent to see the other 2 parts of the story. i'll eventually track down the manga set when i'm in japan again. although i did cheat and read what happens on wiki.

Re: Custom- BERSERK GUTS
Thanks 8th, the manga is kinda boring right now, I've been buying the translated uncensored comics all along from Dark Horse comics. Not half as good as the beginning.
Btw, I took some pics of my Guts figure, go into the MISC section! I did some minor work with sticky putty, just put the armour on the shoulders in place to make them look good and a tiny piece to hold the buckle of the cape down. I also had to redress the armor, they didn't do a great job dressing up his leg armour at all. His boots should be sticking out from under the knee armour. You might want to check out my pics for reference.
For my own reference, I went with the comics and images of Guts statues.
I'm not going to worry about the body swap, I really think it would be waaaay too much work (don't forget, would still have to mod the hands as well) and I really enjoy the figure as it is right now.
