OLD SNAKE Custom w/ Hot Toys body
Hey guys, I swapped the body to a Hot Toys body. I was able to get the suit off without damaging it at all.
Old Snake is a Hot Toys body swap with green pilot gloves as hand replacements. The suit change was easier than I expected. I cut the suit hands out leaving a strap that fits over the new gloves. I thought about interchangeable hands, but decided not to, so I could keep the design of the suit. Also did a simple wash on the head to bring out the detail. Made a HT long neck that fits Medicom pegs for the mount.
The HT body does allow for better movement and holding poses, and fills out the suit more. Plus it much more robust than the fragile Medicom body. However the HT body did not improve the articulation as much as I hoped. Th suit is just not flexible. I tried making the HT wrist and ankle joints tighter which worked initially, but the elasticity of the suit eventually wore them down.
Notice he's armed with a proper MK.17 mod 0 with game upgrades + a silencer, I bashed it from the new HT Scars. Also upgraded his pistol to a MK.23 SOCOM.
Second weapon is a M60E4 with game upgrades, ACOG, laser, forward grip. Started as a HT Desert MK.43, then I stripped it and repainted it. Added the laser and metal ammo rounds out of the box. Love this gun.

madmi, there is no modification necessary except narrowing the HT feet to slide into the boots. The HT body fits in the suit just fine fills it up more than the Medi body, but hardly noticeable. On the original figure the suit fits very loosely on the Medi body, its just hard to tell because its sealed. When re-sealing the suit on the back strap, the suit fits completely around the HT chest without stretching much.

ok ok, so do you cut opened the suit at the back or his waist?

Carefully pull the suit apart at the seams. There is the main seam at the crotch area which separates the legs. Then there are seams at the elbows.
