Thread to discuss ride sharing and room sharing
At the request of a few members, I am once again opening the thread for members to arrange rides, caravans, gas sharing or to share hotel rooms this year. With the cost of gas getting so expensive and the hotel being booked out, there's been a lot of discussion of fandom and fan groups working together to help each other out.
This is a thread for your benefit. MOBICON accepts no responsibility for theft, lost items, injury, or any other claims. You should always check out the people you are riding with or allowing to ride in your car and the same for people staying in the same room. Suggestions are to make all agreements up front and to collect monies up front.
That being said, I wish you the best on all arrangements and we'll see you in two weeks.

Hi there. My name is Rich (but my friends still call me Crash... long story, don't ask), and I moved to the area last year. I just missed Mobile Con last year, and I haven't found a convention in easy driving distance since I got here. I'm currently living in the Gulf Shores area, and I am tenatively planning on attending the con this year (work schedule permitting). I don't imagine I'll be staying at the hotel, so I'll be driving in to Mobile friday afternoon after work, then headed home around 2 or 3 in the morning... rinse and repeat on Saturday. If anyone else is located between Gulf Shores and Mobile and wants to share a ride or whatnot, I'm open to options.
It looks like this forum supports email replies, so if you are interested just drop a reply to this post and I should see it.

Anyone else going from the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach area?? I need a ride to Mobile...either that or take the Greyhound. Thanks!!
