Talisman 2nd Ed. tournament of champions.
On MOBICONs 10th year I will be hosting a tournament of champions. To get into this tourny you must have won on a previous year and your plaque will gain you entry to the tournament. Don't fear I will have one more qualifying round on Fri.
Check back as I will post details on format and prizes, as soon as I figure it all out...lol.
It's Talisman time.

hey i won the EPIC tournament last year (the one on the 3D board.) but i didnt get a plaque.
Does that qualify me for the Tournament of champions??

Congrates on winning the epic talisman game last year. That was 3rd Ed. run by Epic gameing, and I hope they will again this year. So that win won't get you in the 2nd Ed. T.O.C., tournament of Champions, but fear not I'll be running another qualifier on Fri. at the con to get the tenth possible person.
I want a ten player tournament game. IF there are not ten previous winners to play then I'll take the top players from the qualifier on Fri. to fill out the feild.
I'm going to have plaques for 1st - 3rd places and I'm going to put up a prize, out of my own pocket. Any player can win a plaque BUT only previous winners will be eligable for the prize. The top placing previous winner will get the prize.
What's the prize you ask? I'm trying to aquire a basic Talisman 2nd Ed. game for the prize. That may not happen though due to them going for around 75.00 and more. Remember I'm paying for this not the con. I want to show the die hard players my thanks for playing and making the tournament a sucsses over the years. I may put up a copy of the Talisman companion game Dugeon Quest. It's been out of print for nearly as long as Talisman and goes for around $40-50 maybe more.
Can I get some feedback from players on what they think about the prize and tourny format please.

Circus Imperium would be great. I have a copy and would be glad to break it out and whip some beasts into a frenzy. A great FASA game.
A three lap race game that's brutal but loads of fun. Whip your beast, the other driver or gladiator. Run down players on foot or catch them in your net and drag them. Spear, spatha. net, trident, whip are some of the toys in this game.
I can set it up and get it started but I may need someone to help oversee the game due to I may get pulled away to take care of con business at any given time.
Would anyone want to help me with Circus please?

I think it is time to break out the figure eight track. Nothing like a head on wreck to spice up a game. The boys on the bends will be sreaming for more.

Oh David! You're killing meeeeeeee! A Talisman tournament that I can't play in?! You know I'm gonna be blood thirsty on Friday. By the way Bobby never called you about last years Risk plaque, but if you want you could just bring it this year and he can get it from you.

For some reason there was not a risk plaque in the box, not sure what got mixed up. I'm having one made and will send it to him. Thanks for the reminder.
