i think it would be interesting to see a 24 hour WORLD OF WARCRAFT room. you know that thing would be full at all times.

not only do i agree with the World of Warcraft room, but i would like to see a Counter Strike room, 1.6 and Counter Strike: Source. 24/7 would be great.

well, actually, i wont be attending as i would like. On may 25th, ill be on my 10th day of bootcamp, sadly... BUT i plan on submitting all my feedback of what id like to see so next year i can attend. ill help out any way you guys want, im from seattle and ive assisted in more than one Con, mainly LAN rooms and what not.

Screw it, ill post everything id like to see right here.
I already mentioned this, but World of Warcraft and Counter-Strike are the two #1 things id like to see. Also, Unreal Tournament 2004. I havent noticed these games mentioned ANYWHERE which is amazing, because every Gaming Con ive been to, these rooms are the ones that are the most packed to their limit. Another big game is Age of Empires, specifically, Age of Empires 3, as well as Age of Empires 2: The Age of Kings and its expansion The Conquorers. These were decently big rooms as well, but im not sure how many would attend the Age of Empires room if there is to be one.
Do you guys do LAN rooms? Digital Overload asks you to bring your own computer, and you plug into the LAN room and do what you please. Tables everywhere in a LAN room where people can bring their computers and hook up and play with everyone around them would be spectacular, Digital Overload was definatly my favorite convention ever that ive been to.
Is there WiFi in this building? We could have alot of fun with WiFi.
Where's the Xbox 360's? PS3 and Wii would be a great idea too, but ive only heard of a little bit of talk of the xbox 360s. if it were up to me there would be loads of 360s with controllers hooked up and all people have to do is walk up and grab one to play (oh yeah, they are all connected, and everyone is playing in a 4-16 player game). Which reminds me, the other game i want to see is Gears of War.
WHERE ARE THE TOURNEMENTS?! I havent notced ANY! Theres a major problem with a con that doesnt have any tournements. Get a couple T-shirts, some CD's, and a badass prize like a bean bag chair or some crap and make people play video games and WIN these prizes. The tournements are what i attend Cons for mainly, i won every Age of Empires Tournement i entered, and ive won a bunch of stuff. it doesnt have to be terribly expensive or anything either, just cool stuff.
Tournements arent just for video games either, they are for board games and WHATEVER. Tournements are a must in my humble opinion for any Cons.
If i think of anything else ill post it. This sums it up tho of what i havent seen on the site or the forums, i might have mentioned something already posted tho.

Hey GMdonkey thanks for the posts. In short we have had some web master problems and are getting updates now. I have sent you an email about our video gaming details and wanting your imput. It's to bad you will be in boot during the con. I'm exmilitary and wish you the best of luck with it.
All help and suggestions for better video gaming is very welcome.

A bring your own rig is not a bad idea but you have to have a large switch to network everyone together. I can help out with all the setup and the sort but as for the switch I don't think I can get one from work sadly. I know rules for digital overload was
Bring own rig, monitor, headphones (no speakers allowed) and a 50ft cat5e cable. Also make sure to set steam into offline mode before coming since no internet access is available.
As for games everyone brings there own legal copy's of games wish to be played. one good thing is there is a circuit city and a best buy not far from the hotel so more games can be picked up easily. Might be wise to set up a tournament or two for some games such as TF2, HL2, CS:source, Starcraft, and C&C3. Also suggest games such as NWN2 and the sort. I am not sure how plausable it would be this year since most people don't know about it but next year if given flyers for it about next year would probaly be a lot more sucsesful.
