According to Lee Scott after attending and auction at the Portsmouth Elks and purchasing a car. After returning to his truck parked at 4th and market it was surrounded by PPD and PFD and they ask if he had been threatening the Chief and he said no and they persisted in searching his vehicle and he said no and they went to get a warrant.
This is happening now 6:00 Wednesday evening
The mayor and his wife are on the scene too along with Community common

Could they have been referring to what he has been saying on here?
Also, why, all of a sudden is Lee now going to try to keep the Columbia up and going with something when he has been back and forth saying it's closing, it's going down, etc., etc.? Did he maybe know something was maybe going to happen to him, and this is another reason to keep from opening it?

While Portsmouth Police waited 3 hours on a warrant, a crowd of a dozen or so reporters and spectators gathered this evening while Lee Scott's vehicle was towed in and is now being searched at TST garage.
This incident occurred at the corner of 4th and Market Streets where Lee Scott had left the vehicle parked to attend an auction around the corner at the Elks City Club.

Went to the Mayors office yesterday and the Engineers office to get okay to rebuild. Did not ask P.Ds permission. Tired of fighting . You figure it out!

I saw a copy of the warrant to search the beautiful new truck that the Police Chief Chuck Horner apparently believed to belong to Lee Scott. The warrant authorized a search of the truck for drugs, weapons, records of drug sales and many other items.
After Detectives Jim Charles and Lynn Brewer came to the scene at about 6:40 p.m. a warrant was produced and presented to Attorney Christine Scott who loudly demanded a copy of the warrant. Brewer hesitated, but then gave the attorney a copy of the warrant.
The keys to the truck were provided to the police by the owner of the truck. It was not Lee Scott's truck.
Now the police chief had a vehicle he wanted to search, and a warrant to search the vehicle and nearly a score
of people, several with video cameras, to witness the search. TST Wrecker truck came on the scene and the driver drove the new truck to be searched up on the rollback wrecker and left with it. Soon after, Police Chief Horner, and all the police were gone also, apparently to make a search of the truck in the secrecy of TST garage.
Did Chief Horner expect to find anything illicit in this vehicle? If so, why not search the vehicle with witnesses, including PDT reporters, watching?
Now if anyone is charged with having illicit materiel in the truck where will you find twelve jurors who will believe it was in the truck before the truck was hauled away from Market Street to a garage where there are no witnesses and where drugs or other items could be planted in the vehicle?
Sounds like more harassment for Lee Scott. Only yesterday Scott got permits to rebuild the Columbia Music Hall after a meeting with Mayor Jim Kalb.
Today a fifth act of harassment and intimidation was committed against Mr. Lee Scott.

No drugs were found!
No arrest made!
Damage was done to vehicle while searching according to witnesses..

This was just another ploy to gain attention by Chief Horner. If he would enforce the laws against crime, both street crime and white-collar crime, Portsmouth would have a better reputation and a safer town for the residents.
A waste of time of the Mayor, Fire Chief, Police Chief, many officers, and the Honorable Judge who was called upon to issue this unneeded, frivolous search warrant, simply because Horner decided to again abuse the powers of his offfice to again to harass and intimidate an honest citizen.
Jim Kalb, our alleged Mayor, should muzzle this miscreant and put him on a short chain or fire him.
This was more play-time at our expense by Chief Horner while drugs, violent crime, prostitution and corruption keep marching on. Mayor Kalb looks bad enough with his own actions, Chief Chuckie Horner makes Kalb look even more inept.

Your last "report" style posted in this message thread is something to help align those "300" citizens. Your story-post is not loaded with derrogatorys or sublime accusations. Nor is there content that some may reject in disbelief.
Please.. I emplore everyone (myself included)... lets remain aware of the importance to encourage "The 300" to seek becoming an informed citizen-asset and understand more of the "People", "Places", and "Things" that make up City of Portsmouth operations.
The 300 are truely the target-audiance of any spoken or written word.
Make each statement count. Any derogatory may distance them in disbelief or willingness to associate.

Please... each small slip up by anyone who is "seen" to be "associated" with a reform movement has the potential to keep "The 300" at a distance. Lets give them a chance to come closer to the light and not startle them and become skeptical to what they witness.
