It took ONE SECOND to decide to go talk to the Police Chief. I am sure it took many more seconds to get the following entities involved:
1) Police Department
2) Municipal Judge
3) AFT
4) Fire Department
5) Mayor
6) City Soilicitor Jones.. did he have any kind of role to assist in obtaining the warrant???
Jim K... is that all this is to you now... just NEWS ??? Do you as Mayor not feel you should objectively investigate this incident???
Are you just another by-stander as with other citizens???

I have to agree that there has been a lot of flip-flopping. I also must agree that -- yes -- they do read these forums (on City time) and -- yes -- they WILL try getting them into court.
As for the article on the suicide case and the teenager - I agree that the lady should get some kind of punishment. Unless you have been there, you don't know what these bashings on internet forums, MySpace, etc., can do to a person.

That's perhaps clear, but it's also clear bashings, etc. do nothing to sway the City Leadership to do their jobs and responsibilities???? On these forums and in person at the City Council meetings, etc.

As far as changing one's mind, I can tell you that I personally have fought, swore I would never fight again, saw and heard the crap these officials are putting out, ready to fight again, one day mad as he!! and refuse to take anymore, the next day just sick and tired of trying to make a difference, and on and on.

I could not have said it better myself and I have been trying to get those exact points across for almost 2 years now, though I gave up on this nonsensical board 6 months ago or so. It's been my opinion that - right or wrong - Lee Scott is the cause of 100% of any 'harassment' he suffers at the hands of our elected leaders, be they corrupt or virtuous. Exactly! Stop giving them a reason to come after you. I've read this board almost since its inception and in that time I have heard Lee trash-talk nearly every politician, (flip-flopping his love and adoration for some, i.e. Jim Kalb) every publication, and most of the families in Scioto County. Do you think you aren't making enemies along the way, Lee? Did you really expect Chief Horner, Mayor Kalb or any of them to just roll over for you?
And another thing, how come Mrs. Lee Scott isn't the attorney suing the city? Is she not good enough to take on your own case? And let's get real here, if the city HAD a search warrant - no matter how you claim it was obtained - you can not win this case. Also, I heard you bee-yatching and moaning that your truck - excuse me, your brother's truck that you paid for - was scratched during the search. Do you know why? The dog WILL scratch your vehicle when he is alerting the officers of drugs. That's their way of signaling they've found something. I'm sure your wife has a law book in her office with that very precedent in it. I can't remember the name of the suing party but it was against the state of Texas I know; that someone sued the county because their K-9 scratched his new Corvette during a drug search BECAUSE it was alerting of drugs. And BECAUSE drugs WERE found, the appeals court ruled it was NOT the fault of the county, but the plaintiff for knowingly transporting drugs on public roads. So, just like every other time you've screamed lawsuit at those guys, you're gonna come up a loser with your foot down your throat.
Oh, and as for the city 'planting' those items in that truck ... let's all stop and think that one through for a minute too. IF the city was going to go to the trouble of planting drugs in your car, wouldn't they plant just a little more than a joint, 2 books of rolling papers, and some crumbs? Those guys might be crooked, but apparently they're not stupid. (Now you can all tell me how stupid they really are, but you know as well as I do that they did not go to all the trouble of 'planting' drugs just for a damn misdemeanor marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession charge.) I know if I were the corrupt chief of police, I'd have planted a quarter-pound or so in your truck.
That's all I have to say on that matter. Now go ahead and call me a lying maggot and all those other names you oh-so-love to call me. You know every point I just made is valid - AND you won't find me signing back on at 4 AM to flip my position or declare your innocence either. That's the difference between those of us with clear heads and those of us that "either needs some medication, or is on some." I've tried to tell everybody on here what a pot head you are and this just proves it. It wasn't that long ago that an eye witness reported seeing you drop a bag of the stuff on Court Street. I haven't forgotten that one.
And the thing is, if you'd stand up and be a man about it and tell the truth. Tell us "hell yeah I smoke pot. I love pot. I smoke it every day." - then I (and I'm sure a lot of others too) would have a little more respect for you and your plight. Because I am not doubting that you have some powerful enemies in city hall, not to mention the police and fire stations. But YOU made enemies out of those guys with that mouth of yours and you show no signs of letting up either.
Maybe it would be easier if you just let bygones be bygones for a while and get off your vendetta. If not, you stand to lose a lot more than the ounce of self-respect you might still have. But I've always said 'you are what you smoke', you dope.

Have been told to shut up by all Attorneys involved, I do not listen well. I am as mad as hell and I am not gonna take it anymore period. A BIG thank you to all those calls of support and offers of help I have recieved these past two days! We have more friends/support on this abuse of power than Horner will ever know...till the time comes.
Once again...I remind you...you are entitled to your opinion as I am mine and these are mine. I live with it...hope you can.
My wife is not handeling this....she makes far too much money working for paying clients and besides, Banks and Horner have allready been this route and know each other well.

P.S. anybody notice...no problems with Horner as long as I let him think the entire theater was comming down? Less than one day after going to the engineers office to disclose my true plans..... Oh well...three months of peace was good.

TELL ME... What was being sold at that Auction??? Stolen Property recoved by the Police Department... RIGHT???
Look Deeper into that aspect of it.
So within hours... the Police Department calls all these other entites to show up.. for what???

There were other governmental entites invited to attend this "show" but they did not want to be part of this fiasco.
The MAYOR said he wanted to watch what was going to be the next days news.
I'd consider rewinding the seqeunce of events to explore if this was a Media Blitz Diversion in case someone decided to "speak out" about the items in that auction.
Look.. Look.. Scott does "go off" and it passes some people off. Hell.. I get irked by some of it too.
I feel that some of his antics hurts a reform movement and keeps the main-stream at distance from associating.
But I'll be damned if an ABUSE OF POWER is going to be over looked just because we have our reasons not to like Lee Scott.
Chuck... this is hard to accept as a method to practice.... you know that I know what is reality and what is personal vendetta-paybacks.
Please.. you need to think first about what is best for the public image of the Police Department and some how let go of this deep resentment that has built up over the years.
Yes.. the Mollette-owned Doug Deepe namesake would stick their personal-attack daggers into you and your family FOR YEARS. Sicken spiteful people who do almost anything to go after a mans family and children.
And maybe a bit of that from Scott. The Doug Deepe media outlets being an "Enabler" for Scott and others to over-state their complaints. Add to that the Bauer Recall agreement-transactions.
It seems that all that got mixed into one collective reason to spite back these people.
But USING the Department and other agencys... there is no other way to describe it other than an ABUSE OF POWER.

Bottom line
I was raising all kinds of hell the minuite I walked into that auction and seen all my property from the robbery of my home. I was told I could not claim my many things as to quote...
It had no serial numbers on it.
An advertisement had been run in the paper and I had my chance to come see if any of it was mine so therefore I forfeit my own property.
Property stolen had been turned in to the law with a complete description. I felt like they were bigger thieves than Evans...at least he paid for his hot stuff. Six hours latter.....BOOM.
