This is a picture of her upright freezer floating in the basement.....
This is her washer and dryer floating.......
In the foreground of this picture, you'll see the top of the freezer....in the back of the pic, where you see the yellow pipe, is where her wall USED to be (there seems to be two windows in this pic, but that is the reflection of ONE window in the high water)......

While storms kept hitting the area..........
men were at 2315 cutting beams to help "shore up" the floor joists.........
This is a view of the pumps in action (inside the hole the collapsed wall left).....
Here, you see the upright freezer, laying on it's side and the washer and dryer in the background......
Here is a picture of Cindy, soaked to the bone, wearing the only clothes she now has (posted with her permission).....

How could our city officials allow this type of travesty to continue?!
Watch for the recognized name on the ballot box next time and lets finally ---

This afternoon I was on grandview. It was under water in several spots. But so was Kinneys lane. Then I went up to 25 ST. toward the Hospital. Totally under at the bottom of the hill to about half way over to Grandview. Now one thing that is puzzling me is as I went out Offnere and turned onto Kinneys there were two men from the water dept. turning a large water key at a sewer on the North side of the Street. There was no water at that location? HMMMMMMM
When the rain subsided is when all the neighbors came out telling us how bad it was in there basements. Anywhere from 2 to7 feet deep. As stated earlier Ms. Newsome lost one whole wall.
Your Honor we need SEWERS not PALACES.

OK.......I'LL PLAY DEVIL'S ADVOCATE HERE....(reporter aside)...........
Mr. Baughman was at the scene today and seemed to show honest conern and care for what was going on..........he made several phone calls for assistance, etc.
HOWEVER..............here's the "devil's"question.......
How much is he being paid to turn the blind eye?
Mr. Baughman, you and I have always shown respect for one another, and I mean no disrespect here. BUT, how can this go on in your ward for almsot 11 years now and NOTHING BE DONE?

One of two things are operating or someone add more. No matter how good a man he is brother, son, father, saved, etc.
1. He does not know that the problem can be engineered and solved, and then that's in the mix of all the other problems and the only thing he and the other 3 horsemen know how to do is attend meetings and do what they are told. Likewise, the three Executives (and of course Department heads or they'd bring forward something, not nothing but broken systems and equipment, etc.) The three elected executives have no capacity to lead to show the mayor and the council, where there can be 5, 10 and 15 years programs that can be planned and financed, they are only putting fires out so they can go home and cash those checks, etc. Too much in this number one, but there much more they don't get, and now,
They don't even try, they just sit there week after week, etc.
2. They are crooked. You guess is as good as the next person.
then again they could just be schlocks? I just looked it up after something gave it to me, perhaps that's low lifes?
People keep talking to them about respect, etc. when will those folks get it, the city leaders don't get it, don't care,or crooked or all of the above. dah..........
