Re: Taking your pet abroad

Hello. I do know about taking pets abroad if anyone has a problem. I run a business which takes dogs and cats to France and Spain almost every week. To take pets and bring them back they must have a pet passport with a microchip inserted in them. As well as that they must have had a rabies jab at least 6 months before and have the blood test results from that jab before you go away. On the return journey the pets must have a worm pill and a tick and flea treatment administered by a vet no less than 24 hours before and no more than 48 hours before travel. Most importantly the vet must record this in the pet passport. The date and times of the treatments are very important any mistakes and you will not be allowed to travel back.
I hope that helps someone
