Hello from a newcomer

Hi all:

Pastor Rick recommended your board so I decided to have a look.

I have enjoyed writing since I was a kid. My biggest project to date was a joint venture fanfiction based on a sci-fi show called Farscape. We produced an actual paperback book, though of course it was for personal enjoyment only.

Hi PK, welcome on board!

I remember Farscape very well, although I didn't follow it to the end.

Have fun writing! I hope you'll also find some fun here.

I will definitely have to try to make time to give your board a really good looking over. Right now I have a lot of projects under way and time has been in short supply. It is good to find another board with a subject that I'm greatly interested in.

Hello.

Hope you have fun looking around. I've seen bits of Farscape (so of course I spent a lot of time wondering what was happening), but my fiance is a big fan and owns all of it. I can imagine that writing a story in that universe lets you do some pretty crazy stuff.

Welcome to the board and I'm afraid I've only seen a few bits and pieces of Farscape. Still..., I hope the board will turn out to be useful and fun for you. emoticon

Heya PK, and welcome!

I watched all the way through FS, even the extra "movie" after the end, so I know what you're talking about. Good show. Not as good as season 3 of Babylon 5, of course, but what is!?! emoticon

PK, I'd like to move this topic to the Meeting Point forum, after you acknowledge that you've seen this.

Hey, hey Captain (rusty salute)
Been a while since I had to salute a superior officer. (If I'd stayed in the Navy, I'd be a P.O. by now; but wasn't the life for me).

Nice to meet you.

My rank doesn't come from real life, though I was in the Air Force for 4 years. My handle actually comes from an online roleplay character that I created. The funny thing is that most of my writing lately is for the roleplay games.

I don't supposed you'd be interested in describing some of those works in another thread? I'm kind of curious about it. emoticon

You'd be surprised at the number of role-players here, I would think.

I second QS' suggestion. emoticon

Yep. I also play RPGs sometimes. I think that since we've got a pretty good contingent of scifi and fantasy readers/writers, you'll find that you're not alone. emoticon

Please, post away!

It's not the playing that takes up the time. It's the 40 hours a week of preparation emoticon

Haha! That's one of the main reasons I refuse to play the online multi-player ones. That and because they have no plot to speak of, which makes me twitch.
