Lovely Nebula - NGC 3132

Just found this on the amazing web:

NGC 3132 (Eight-burst Nebula / Southern Ring Nebula) is a planetary nebula in the constellation Vela situated about 2,000 light years from Earth.

This might sound a little strange but it looks like a lovely, cosmic egg.

It really is quite pretty, yes. To think a few centuries back we had no clue of such things yet. Just as well we're living in a time with great telescopes. emoticon
