Alien comet, or just unsual local wanderer? So I was just reading some news and ran into this little article over a very odd comet circling our star. Of course with so little data over our own comets still, we can't really be certain of anything yet...
Re: Alien comet, or just unsual local wanderer? You can hear the scepticism in the quote at the end.
Somehow I like it when you can detect tone in academic articles and writing. It makes it feel more personal and in this case is amusingly at odds with the rest of the piece.

Re: Alien comet, or just unsual local wanderer? Heh. Well, it's always nice to speculate a little, and I suppose even scientists like a spectacular theory once in a while.
Re: Alien comet, or just unsual local wanderer? The problem isn't with their being an alien comet in our solar system, considering how many are thrown out and how many must have come by over billions a years, a few are bound to have been caught. The issue is more really in if we could possibly be so lucky to just find one without even really trying to look at a million or two.
