SF as Inspiration
This is something I've been thinking for a long time.
How do we know what the future might bring? My answer is: SF. The great writers who invent future tech, describe cultural changes or dream of a different life - they offer inspiration to others who are closer to technological development.
What do you think? How much mutual inspiration goes back and forth between literature and science? How important are the writers for this?
