I'm not sure if there were any rituals historically before any battle (other than a prayer or two said publically by any religious leader). So, you probably can imagine your own.
Purification for knights often involved fasting, and praying through the night. That might be an analogy for you.
Other than that, you can probably invent your own. You didn't say what culture you're basing your world on, though, so I can only guess what you really want to do.
Purification could involve the use of incense, prayer, meditation, and so on.
