Magic in everyday things Let's turn this into a game - putting magic into everyday things. Each post will have one sentence about something magical, and then an everyday item that the next one should post about. Like this:
******************************
There's a little dragon inside my kettle that heats the water to a boil.
--> Monitor
*******************************
So, the next post should start with a sentence about something magical in or about a monitor.
Re: Magic in everyday things I gently pry open my pocket watch, only to discover an enchanted bug inside that hits its head against a little plate very regularly, creating the ticking sound and keeping the time. Very quickly, I close it again, so the bug cannot escape.
Re: Magic in everyday things A bunch of tiny, tiny octopusses sits in my pen, lined up one after the other. They release their ink when I write - and mind you, they needed to be trained for half a year before they could do it properly.

Thanks for going with the fun, Pink. I hope someone else might join in soon.
Re: Magic in everyday things I pound the 8 button on my calculator. I doesn't seem to work. I pound some more.
"Ow!" I hear, "alright alright, I'm awake! You want an 8, I'll give an 8!" Grumbles one of the little sprites. Suddenly the number 8 flares to life on the PDD (Pixi Dust Display) screen.
I press the "=" button a little softer and another tiny voice says, "oooooo, tat tickles!"

Re: Magic in everyday things "Grrggrrrgrgrggrrrrrg..."
I turn the key again.
"Grrggrrrgrgrggrrrrrg..."
I pop the hood open and take a look inside.
"Grrggrrrgrgrggrrrrrg..."
It looks like the metal spirit spent the night drinking again.
