New and My Story
Hi,
I've been dealing with the Narcissist in my life for longer than I care to think about. I have two children and therefore will never be free of this Narcissist/Sociopath. I've been hoping that Karma would catch up with him and give what he actually deserves but I'm still waiting...
I divorce my Narcissist 9 years ago. I have two children ages 10 and 13 now. In the years we were married I dealt with anienation, projection, the back and forth nature of his personality, Him always trying to teach me a lesson etc...etc...
My divorce was messy and long but it was the right thing to do for the sake of my two children. Since then I remarried and moved to the UK all with his permission. There must have been a cosmic alignement of the planets for me to have gotten this permission but it happened. You see at the time he was more interested in getting his hooks into someone else and not in his children. He eventually remarried someone half his age, whom he can easily control and then the trouble started. I'm sure just for him to make himself appear to be the "good father" he started making an effort to sway the children to "his side". America is better, don't you want to live in America? You don't want to become a silly English person...
Anyway, we had a rock solid agreement and visitation arrangement that I would constantly have to quote it to him in order to maintain order!
I discovered in 2004 that he was behind on his child support (He paid in weird lump sums that were hard to figure out) and then after investigating it I found out that he had committed fraud in presenting the dates for the children's visitation resulting in a child support reduction that he wasn't entitled to. He owed almost $2.000. I filed to get it back in November 2004. This is when the "**** hit the fan".
His manipulation of the children stepped up another notch and then he started accusing us of abusing the children in order to have a counter suit! I couldn't believe it! It was obvious what he was doing but no one could stop him or would stop him. We have now spent in excuss of $40.000 in defending ourselves against his attack. The children have elected not to speak to him after what he put them through and haven't since November 2005. This silence has produced another wave of attacks.
In this past year he has managed to convince a LOT of people and organizations that his children are missing and have been abducted by ME! Their pictures are all over the internet on missing children pages and on other web sites that post missing pictures on side bars. He has even been on TV talking about his abducted children.
I have been in touch with the US Embassy and they have done what they can to help but still the number of web pages my children's pictures are on grows and grows.
It has been a total nightmare but at least we are in the UK and are protected by the Hague Convention. He can do what he likes in the states but legally he can only approach us through the Hague Convention.
I know that most advise is to ignore the Narcissist but I do believe that he is also a sociopath/ pscyhopath and some things need to be addressed. I have put up a web site which I won't put the address because of the annonymous nature of this site. I have put all my legal documentation on it and lots of information totally discounting his claims. I have sent the link to every missing children's site that my children appear on and although I have had only one positive result it is still a result.
It seems that no one wants to take the information off. They are so ready to believe him and his poor story of abducted children and don't want to know the other side...
Anyway, that is my story and I am glad to be here.
