The N Love Ode

by Lynn S.

You asked me why you caught my eye, so I'll try to explain
The reasons for my sweet amor which make you right as rain.
I have a list of things I missed before I noticed you.
Though deep I'm not, it's all I've got, so it will have to do.

I love your eyes, I love your thighs, I love the way you look.
I love your voice, I love my choice to snag you on my hook.
I love your skin, I'm glad you're thin so I can take you out.
I love your hair and that it's rare for you to raise a doubt.

I love that I can always lie and never have to worry.
I love the fact you buy my act, but once you don't I'll scurry.
As long as you are someone who I can manipulate,
I'll love you still, I always will. Why not? You think I'm great.

quote:

"As a result of the need to be best or first, the person with NPD behaves in a condescending and [devaluing] manner toward others . . . often combined with arrogance and haughtiness and some may appear snobbish, supercilious, or patronizing."
