Hello! I'm Jessibear...

...and I'm in the process of recovering from a destructive relationship with my STBX. I never knew there was a name for what I dealt with for nine years! I recently ready a book called The Wizard of Oz and Other Narcissists by Eleanor Payson. It really opened my eyes, and helped me to see that I'm not the crazy one. He has not been diagnosed, but I'm certain my STBX has NPD.

There is so much to deal with. In addition to doing the whole attorneys/mediation thing for the divorce and custody of our infant son, I have had to move and am trying to deal with my emotional pain. I can't go NC because of our son, and everyone says I have to put aside my feelings and work with my N, which is very diffictult for me. I'm so glad to have found this message board and will continue to read and post here.

Hi, jessibear. Glad you've found us. Welcome to the forum. Eleanor Payson's book is a great resource.

The road will be long, but you can do this. I hope you find some good info in our divorce and custody sections that will be helpful and also that you will join the discussions on the General Discussion Narcissists board whenever you like.

Lynn
