I feel like I'm coming out of a fog!
I've been married for 38 years, to a narcissistic. I had never even heard the word until about 2 months ago. I had a complete melt down 5 months ago. started to ask myself some serious questions, and I didn't like the answers. A counsler at a womens crisis support center had mentioned the word narcissistic , I was to embarrassed to admit I had never heard the word. I came home and started reserching, my jaw almost hit the floor, He didn't have one sysmpton, he had most of them.Just to think someone else knew what I was going threw. I 've been married since I was 14. I have since put my life on the line and kicked him out.He is still on the property in a motorhome. everyday he,s gone I start to be able to think clearer. I'm trying to get up the nerv to tell him he has to leave all together. about every 2 days or so he wants to "talk" and its gets me so upset I can't sleep, I'm working for the first time in 20 years! A P.E teacher at a private school. But its been a struggle to keep a level head with him around. for the first time I see this is not love he has for me.. its some kind of control thing. I guess I'm just looking for encouragment! thanks kim

Hey Kim!
Congratulations for you on your discovery. So sorry you had to live through this, but we here have lived through it too.
So, now you have the whole rest of your life to live! How exciting. Great you have a job. You GO GIRL!!
Don't let him ruin that for you. That is your step out of his control and into your new life.
Welcome to the board!

Re: I feel like I'm coming out of a fog!
thanks so much!I told him last night he needed to move to town ( we live 12 miles outa town) Wasn't pretty but I got to be able to relaxe, my kids, I still have 3 at home need to feel safe. It took me awhile to relize I was afraid, he was suppost to get a job outa town but that fell threw. Sooo I'm praying he will go. threw all of this I can't believe its all about what I'm doing to him, nothen about what got him here in the first place.
on a lighter note I'm going back to school, I'm really excited about that. I'm starting out in a program for displaced people, finding out what they want to do. I'm 51 and I don't have a clue! Ha.. But freedom is quite the new adventure!
