Re: Sister situation--Please help.
Dear Bell and Growing,
You're very much in my thoughts. It's so hurtful to be treated in this way. I have an N sibling and I've suffered being D&D'd for years. My mother thinks the N can do no wrong! The N has been allowed to D&D and then been able to turn things around so that N is the victim. They are just emotional bullies. You're right Growing.....it's a nightmare that you can't get away from with and N or Ns in the family. They are always around you in the ether somewhere......being mentioned, shoved in your face, etc.
I don't think N's have any feelings at all other than to get their own needs and wants met. My N sibling has carried out acts which I can only describe as pure evil to set up barriers between the rest of the family and our mother. The N must be king of the road! What we have all suffered for years from the N has been truly terrible when I look back.
You're right Growing, once you discover NPD you do look at every relationship again and review it......it has changed my whole life.
But I do feel validated....the N had me feeling so bad about myself and in a really low place. Try not to allow them to make you feel like this....hard I know, take one day at a time.
I'll be thinking about you.
