Re: Beverages
Sun Brewed Southern Sweet Iced Tea...
Ahh the comfort it brings, many childhood memories of getting all the ingedients together...making it by not boiling the water, putting it out in the sun and watching as magic happen, the sun...remember sitting outside on the deck of my pool, the sun beating down and the water turning the brown color...that is sooo cool
Ingrediants and materials needed:
Glass Jug or Pitcher with a top
Water
Tea bags
Iced Tea Glass or big cup
Ice
Sugar (lots of sugar, that is what makes it Southern Sweet Iced Tea)
Optional Lemons for flavor
1. Get a large glass jug or pitcher with a lid (to keep bugs out )
2. Fill it with water, remeber to leave some room for the sugar so do not fill it all the way up.
3. Take tea bags 5 or 6 or less depending on your taste and place them in the jug of water, close the lid.
4. Set outside in direct sun, 2 hours, less or more, depending on your taste. Oh and test tasting is ok, that is the fun, the experimenting
5. Take the jar inside, pour Sugar into Gass Jug or Pitcher (lots of sugar or to desired taste)
6. Get a huge Iced Tead glass or cup....bigger the better cause you have to make room for the ice...
7. Pull ice from the freezer and put into iced tea glass or cup
8. Pour the sun made Southern iced tea into the glass and ENJOY...
