Is anyone interested in a weight-loss buddy?

I am thinking I would like to lose weight, by getting more exercise and cutting calories. Would anyone care to join me in this adventure?

I'll check back later. You can pm me if you like.

D

I'm in, LHID!
I've lost about 25lbs. so far from walking weather permitting 1hr/day, and as far as the real world goes, trying to keep it at 1500kcal/day.
I've got a long ways to go. I'm obese, but almost at the "unobese"? level. We can check in with each other.

Awesome ladies!! Maybe we can share low calorie recipes too? I am going to try power walking while my boys are with their dad.

I have about 60 lbs to lose.

I'll enter my weight, but should be just enter whatever progress notes we feel comfortable with?

Today's weight: 179 lbs.
Goal: 145 lbs.
I would like to lose 34 lbs.

Hoping to be 175 by the end of July. I'll start small, because I get discouraged easily. And it's taking me a long time to lose, so I'll think a couple pounds at a time.

Mood: not bad, sleepy, a small headache. Walked about 1 hr today.

I'll try to check in on this thread once a week and show the weight numbers which hopefully will be shrinking.

I'm looking forward to losing together!

Awesome Spaceflower, I appreciate you going first!

Current: 270
ST Goal: 235 by ???
LT Goal: 200

Issues, eating when bored, eating when stressed, and drinking beer.

I am trying to drink water instead, and I think cutting out beer will help me to reach my goal.

I am trying to cut carbs. I find when I eat lots of protein my blood sugars stay more regulated.

Hi Dusty and Alamo, and others who want to join in with losing musings.

Well, it's been a week, and holding at 179. Went to family restaraunt yesterday, and you know what that means: humungus portions of foodstuff.
But, I packed half of it in a box, and took it home for leftovers. That's usually my strategy when I go to that kind of place, which is about everywhere in the US. I've heard most of those meals pack in about 1500/kcal a meal. Yikes!

Bought one of those 1/2 bottles of wine (375 ml)to keep with just one glass a day. Otherwise, I get tanked not trying to waste a whole bottle of wine. emoticon It's too bad these cute bottles are not 1/2 price, too.

I'm at 268 today.

Shall we make Tuesday our regular weigh in day?

Congratulations on losing 2 lbs, Dusty.

Tuesday sounds like a good day for weigh in. Hope for two (less lbs.) for Tuesday. emoticon
