What is your voice?
I did a thread with this title at one time on another board and the answers proved to be pretty amazing.
The basic idea behind the question is to ask members to share what they consider to be their own unique way of expressing who they are. Finding our voice is a very big part of recovery. Maybe your voice has been hidden or muted and you're only beginning to find it in a creative endeavor, a hidden talent, a hobby, work, service to others, or something you just love to do express yourself. Maybe it is something you have done all along.
It could be a certain kind of writing, a flair for fashion or design, music, web design, art, crafts, hobbies, decorating your home, volunteering, teaching or counseling in some way, maybe something work-related, perhaps cooking. The possibilities are endless because we are all unique.
What is it that registers with you when you hear this question and says, "This is an expression of my authentic, unique, and best self. This is where my heart is."?
