what are your favorite sandwich concoctions?
One one my favorites is peanut butter with curry paste, raw onions, garlic, gorgonzola cheese, and nutneg. mmmmmmmm yummy.
My daughter (a young adult) introduced me to it one evening. I thought she was joking, but she wasn't. After the first bite, the flavours begin to really reveal themselves. It is delicious and you should try it, and don't cheat on the nutmeg.

Re: what are your favorite sandwich concoctions?
LOL that sounds tasty.
My favorite is making subs with garlic bologna, turkey, red onion, tomato, italian dressing and green olives.
Not exactly health food but tasty

Re: what are your favorite sandwich concoctions?
That garlic bologna, turkey, red onion, tomato, dressing and olives sounds like a real award winner. And using brown malted bread, and all the ingredients just out of the fridge. I could enjoy that.
My true favourite is tuna-mayo (mixed together) and salad, no onions. I like the 'iceberg' lettuce, I think it is called, and watercress and rocket and tomatoes.
It is my daughter who makes the silly sandwiches, and she eats them. I was trying to think of one to really blow her away. The best I can come up with is fish paste, cold custard and ginger. Next time she offers to make me a 'sandwich' I'll be able to say that I will make her 'a sandwich'.

Re: what are your favorite sandwich concoctions?
Sprouts, ha, ha, ha. And with the turkey, I think your sandwich filling is Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner inspired----or rather the day after, ha, ha......we've all been there. I have made some fearsome sandwiches with these left overs, all piled up, even the cold gravy/sauce, all dribbling out of the sides. I think we must all have done this, every single one of us, ha, ha.
The above is a delicacy from my part of the world.

Re: what are your favorite sandwich concoctions?
Can you remember where you were when you heard Elvis had died? I was at school, at registration in the morning, and some girls always had a transistor radio going (even in classes: 'Sir, can we have the radio on?'. Reply, 'Well, go on then, but not too loud, and turn it off as soon as anyone comes to the door'. It was a great class. They left us alone. So much freedom. The teachers would even tell us not to return after lunch. I had a great childhood), but that is where I was when Elvis died, in registration, and these girls suddenly all started crying.
I always knew Elvis was renound for loving a particular sandwich, and this link shows how to make it.
I think Elvis was probably ok.
