Re: what are your favorite sandwich concoctions?
Dont gag until you try it.... while living on an organic garlic farm...everyone was in town buying food, but I was super hungry... I had bread, cheese, and LOTS of garlic...
To this day I crave these... finley sliced garlic, with brie cheese, a little salt and pepper. Hmmmmmm
It became a whole new recipe! I make brie bread now. A big round loaf, cut thickly, stuffed with brie cheese and crushed garlic, oven baked until all insides are melted.
Super yumm with a glass of wine!

Re: what are your favorite sandwich concoctions?
PheonixRising, Good God, that sounds like an absolute belting creation. Yes, I can see it, brie with LOTS of garlic, in bread, baked, mmmmmm. That is one sandwich I shall certainly do. In fact, and I swear this, I am going to leave right now to get the ingredients. Then I am going to wait, and wait, and wait, because hunger is the best sause (as you said hunger plays a part in it), until this evening when I'll make this dish. So exciting. Thank you.

Re: what are your favorite sandwich concoctions?
I love a toasted sandwich with peanut butter and slices of dill pickle (the pickle sliced in long strips and on top of the peanut butter). Sounds weird to many but is it EVER good.

Re: what are your favorite sandwich concoctions?
Lotty, my daughter and I actually went to the Burgh to get the sandwich...a four hour drive for us. haha. She talked about it for a few years after having one. We had a great time in Pittsburgh! I could make one at home but it won't be quite the same as sitting in the old resturant in Pittsburgh.
