what is the most attractive to a woman...a survey.
I was chattting with some mates about what women find attractive about a man. We covered just about every aspect of this subject, and it was eventually agreed by all that THERE IS NOTHING MORE ATTRACTIVE TO A WOMAN THAN TWO GOOD-LOOKING MEN STOOD IN THE MIDDLE OF A PUB, NOT OGGLING WOMEN, BUT JUST LAUGHING AND TALKING WITH EACHOTHER.
It always makes me smile does this, and we all found it a bit humorous, it being a bit of a ludicrous thing to say. But after all that, I do think that there is possibly a lot of truth in this statement.
Have people any thoughts about this statement, or the subject in general?

Hi youdisgustme.
I really like your name, no kidding. I should get something a bit more like that myself.
Ok, the thing about two good-looking men in a pub, well, that was something I remembered from about 15 years ago when me and a few 'lads' about 30 year old, were all chatting. I suppose it is the best you could expect of such a crowd, and I think it is really funny that some of these guys really felt they were in a woman's mind when they said that.
But of course your notion of warmth, generosity, and protectiveness is much nearer the mark. It is a wonderful thing when you get these qualities in a person, and all the rest that goes with it, AND they are appreciated and valued AND not abused.
But yes, youdisgustme, Warmth, Generosity, and Protectiveness, sum it up well, I reckon, but also to add Trust and Loyalty. Those two are great in a relationship, because you can really relax and get on with having a great life with not just a lover, but a best friend.

he is kind, sincere, you can see in his eyes his genuineness, he is gentle, he opens the car door, he gives kisses on your forehead, your hand, & your eyes when you are crying (because your child's father the exN/P is being a jerk and making life hell), he sticks by you in the drama you live with the exN/P because you share a child, you have feelings you have never ever had before (butterflies, you smile so uncontrollably at the thought of seeing him, you squeeze him just to smell how good he smells, you can look at each other and not say a word, you just feel it and know). All the bad you learned and lived with the exN/P you makes you who you are and know what you want and deserve and you want to shower them (not the exN/P, the nice guy) back with all your love and affection, he supports you, he is your shoulder to cry on when you feel helpless, he listens. He is your best friend.

Hi phyrenice,
I think the vast majority of people are after the kind of tender loving relationship you describe, but unfortunately the vast majority are on a learning curve towards that, and some make little or no progress, and some make a lot of progress. These are 'normal' people I mean.
Then there are the people who are missing the basic building blocks, people who are thus destined never to travel that learning curve towards the relationship you describe: the Ns, the Ps, (the disordered).
The good news for you is that you appear to be blessed as a normal person, not disordered, and also that you are far enough along that learning curve to have a great relationship, you just therefore need to be with someone who also is enlightened/mature enough. So the bad experience aside, it is all good for you.
I have had two unenlightened (and/or disordered) people in my life, and they have caused much upset and hurt for me. However, I have learnt much from this, and I am a better peson because of it, and my life experience is much richer.
The problem I have now is to heal the hurt, which I am sure by No Contact and time I will certainly achieve.
I attempt to do this by learning about people, psychology, disorders, the world in general, and also to keep a sense of lightness and fun. The problem is with the N/P, not me. I just have to heal a bit and move on. It isn't really a problem. I can withstand the knock.
Anyway, phyrenice, like youdisgustme, you both put forward soulful qualities of attractiveness. It is amazing when people put money first, and power....we often hear that power is an affrodisiac. And then there is the idea of the stud type guy, or the fast woman, and all that crap. I tell you that the media images of women that i as a man am ment to go for are just rubbish. I think everything needs rewriting. I blame the media, advertising, etc, for pedalling and perpetuating false ideas that confuse and muddy the waters. The notions of beauty, for one thing. I tell you I sometimes flick through the tv channels and see those ads, those long ads, like a programme, about beauty for women, selling beauty products. I think they are very bad in how they manipulate perseptions of beauty....and ugliness. We are just bombarded.
Anyway, my lunch is over, so i'll have to dash.

Personality, likes to laugh, pays attention when I talk and believes me, trusting. A nice smile. Not to pushy or flattering. Can make good conversation. A dream come true. I met one like this but don't think he's interested in me the way I am him.  So I'll cool it with him.
