Has Anyone Read this Book?
"The Four Agreements", by Don Miguel Ruiz
I'd love to know what you think of it.
Thanks!

Re: Has Anyone Read this Book?
Hi HE.
I LOVE it! It seems so simple, giving yourself only 4 things to live by, but actually when you look at those things, if you CAN manage to live up to them you've pretty well got it all sorted haven't you?
When I read it I immediately felt better about myself. I love the whole idea of the world being a dream that we collude with and that we can make our own world by not agreeing with THEIR values and opinions but walking our own path.
When I feel better, after this N business has died down a bit in my head, I'm going to try to live by those 4, but I know it's going to be hard ... especially the bit about being impeccable with our word. I mean, if I did that I wouldn't be able to come on here and moan about the N for a start
I'll have another look at it and come back for a bit more of a chat.

Re: Has Anyone Read this Book?
I read it. Of all the inspirational books I have read, this one touched me the least. I'm not sure why. I like Byron Katie, Eckhart Tolle, Louise Hay, and Anthony de Mellow more.
And I'm native American. Go figure.
Maybe I just wasn't ready. I read Ken Keyes once and wrote him off completely. Read him years later and loved! him. Maybe one day I'll pick up my Four Agreements again and feel very different.
