Blindsided

Its amazing what Ns will stoop to. I actually got a restraining order giving me custody of my daughter due to N being indicted for Sexual Abuse which occurred 10 years ago. I went to pick her up and was met with police who said they had an annoymous tip that I had drugs in my vehicle. Short story - there were some taped behind the back seat and I told them to fingerprint the containers and tape. Luckily one of the officers was aware of the case and looked at what all I had to offer. They did not arrest me but are investigating. I got to take my DD home which upset her and I can bet really pissed him off. I do know he had OW calling his brother and another close friend up here trying to get information since neither one of them can contact me or DD in any way. Lesson learned always check every nook and cranny they will set you up every chance they can.

Momma,

I'm shocked. I'm sure you must've been, too. Is that really legal, to call in an "anonymous" tip and then the police can search your car? Why wouldn't they have to get a warrant first?

Wow--My N is as dishonest as they come, but yours sounds REALLY, REALLY dangerous. I'm sure you already know that, but watch your back. I'm so sorry this happened to you. Unbelievable--

Re: Blindsided

So far one week later there have been no charges filed yet. The officer at the scene said that if it was a set-up then N committed at least 5 felonies. Hopefully my attorney will hear something in the next few days.

N also went to our court and started a screaming match this week with the Court Coordinator because we were supposed to go to court on the 13th but its not on the schedule. I guess he forgot the Coordinator is also our Judge's wife. OOPS!!!!

We have a hearing on Monday to change the restraining order into full temporary orders. We'll see what the new attorneys are like. Hopefully they will nail him and show the judge exactly what we are dealing with. My old attorney (14 months) never even brought up his past history as a felon and having an assault conviction.

Wow, just wow. Do you think he has a set of keys to your car? My exnh took a set of mine before he moved out and it was like pulling teeth to get them back (he was angry because I bought a new car in my own name, he wanted to force me to take the car that was in HIS name because then of course he could just steal it and I would have no car and no recourse). I don't put anything past them. The cops are not stupid in this case, addicts do not tape their stash to a car seat.

He has had a set of keys since he moved out. He says he didn't take them. Once he even told me that he threw them under the couch in the horse trailer. I don't put anything past him. I would have had the truck rekeyed at the time but with attorney fees, psychologist for DD, pychological evaluation for us etc. there just wasn't the money. I will now find the money to do this also. Thanks,
