Here's Kassy's post from the main thread.

It's okay. Since Jose has finished the first, I can mention the pet peeve safely.

It's not something that bothers anyone else, usually. It's just that when Bella disagrees with him on something, he sort of gets in her face and overwhelms her with his beauty until she agrees to whatever he suggested. He does it to other girls too. It seems to me an awfully arrogant thing to do, especially for someone who is supposedly unaware of the way he looks. (To be fair, Bella did it to Jacob also, and that bugged me too.)

What was it about Edward that bothered you?

I adore Edward. I really do. But he does have a few flaws...

My main problem with him is he is so completely overprotective. And because of that, he's fairly controlling, as you brought up in your post, Kassy. And he can be quite manipulative too, when trying to protect her, as with getting her to fly to Jacksonville that one weekend.

Bella kinda got him to back off by the middle of Eclipse, but I'm still hoping there's gonna be some kinda showdown between the two of them where she tells him where to get off. And I hope he accepts it. Cause he really needs to.

He can be so stifling, that's why in some ways, a lot of ways, actually, Jacob is a better fit for her. He lets her be herself a lot more.

But I'm hopeless, I still and always ship Edward/Bella.

I ship Edward/Bella also. Her heart will be Edward's always. To use a metaphor from the story, Jacob deserves to be someone's Romeo, rather than Bella's Paris. I want him to imprint on some amazing girl.

Do you think the triangle is really over? I haven't read the excerpt from the next book, and that might answer the question, but I'm avoiding spoilers.

I pretty much think it is, but then again...I just reread Eclipse and man...I don't know.

I'm avoiding spoilers also. I know nothing whatsoever of Breaking Dawn. There's supposed to be some cool stuff at Stephenie Meyer's website, but they're doing quotes from Breaking Dawn and I don't want to see.

I hope it's over. I think Jacob will be there in a different aspect. I certainly hope so. I don't know how much longer I can watch him chase Bella. It's killing me. emoticon emoticon
