Stewart,
I have seen him in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and It's a Wonderful Life and he is great in both, excellent choice!

Bogart,
I only know from Casablanca which is one of my favorite movies. I agree!

Peck,
To Kill a mockingbird is all I have ever seen him in and I loved it.

Ford,
I have only seen him in Star Wars and I think they are great. Indy I haven't seen. I gotta agree the other actors are better than he.

as for your other favorites I am not familiar with their work.

I am surprised at two actors which did not make the cut, both of which I think are excellent.

1. Henry Fonda,
12 Angry Men and The Grapes of Wrath are the two I saw from him and I was amazed with both. He received an Oscar nomination for each of those but lost.

He finally won the Oscar for his role in On Golden Pond which I will be seeing for the first time next week.

the other choice is more of a recent actor,
in comparison to the others.

2. Johnny Depp,
from the Pirate movies in which he was excellent to Sweeney Todd I think he is an all around actor. IMO, his best work was in Finding Neverland, a ver y touching movie and very well done! Though Jack Sparrow I admit must have been the hardest to portray and yet the funnest.
