Re: Ar tonelico 3 officially announced! for PS3 (Scans)

You think they "learned their lesson", but they still have a history. I'm telling them not to repeat it. Besides which, they haven't exactly released a ton of games since AT2, understandable for a small company. I haven't heard gloom and doom (not that I've looked), but I also haven't bought any NISA games since (mostly due to a lack of interest and lacking the proper console). They thus haven't proven themselves to me. Even if I were huge into NISA's games, hearing them announce that they're releasing AT3 would make me inwardly cringe - bad impressions last a very long time.

I haven't given up on NISA though; I hear Atlus was the same way a long time ago.

And what, pray tell, have I said that decreases our chances of getting AT3? How does "do better" mean "don't you dare touch this game"? Not even the letter I mentioned goes that far.

Echoing what people have been saying is not going to help the situation any better. If you can't survive an ordeal and move on, you really shouldn't be buying their games(and quite frankly, if you're this dissatisfied with their work, you don't have to).

There's no reason to go and cut yourself up more by saying negative things about them any longer. They're not giving you a knife, you've bought it yourself.

I'm not agreeing with anyone here.... these are my own words. No one is forcing you to buy their localizations. It's been beaten to death. If you think standards are not up to par with other publishing companies, go elsewhere.

But I would stay with them because they're one of the few companies that actually publishes the games that I want to play. That's a final decision and I'm sticking to it. I've long since gotten over their AT2 release.

I don't see why people can't. Sure they have a few problems, but saying the same things again and again is not going to change a thing.

And I'm seeing so many contradicting opinions here... you keep saying they have a history, but then you're not giving up on them.

Doesn't seem like you're for them as much as you say. History or not, just move on. Dwelling on the past is what's killing our hopes for better localization.

Not giving up on them is called "hope", not contradiction.

You all are scared over legitimate concerns; you guys are scared that I'm telling them not to localize Ar tonelico any longer. What is this madness?

If not NISA, then who, exactly, would do it? Certainly not Namco Bandai. I can tell you that as a huge Tales series fan - they don't like niche titles. NISA should damn well know that non-Japanese speakers such as myself rely upon them.

I know when I'm not welcome, and I'm not going to stick around just to get frustrated.

NISA released more games in 2009 than any previous year in its existence.

Anything wrong with AT3 can be patched, so there shouldn't be any other concerns over mistakes they could make.

That is technically true, since the PS3 does allow for patching...

However that shouldn't be necessary, since what happened with AT2 is unexcusable. started replaying it yesterday and was reminded of the spelling and grammar errors that stand out every other sentence. I still liked the game, though, so I really want AT3 to get localised too, I'm wondering how the battle system will work this time

I honestly understand both sides of it, but I've gotten over it, and I'm not about to go back and say anything about it any longer. This issue could easily go on forever if you let it.

I'm just going to let it die right here. Its better for both NISA and the board it seems.

Still, I'm not about to take back anything I've said here, most of it holds true. If you can't accept the fact and move on, so be it. It's as simple as you buy their products or you don't, there's no in between.

I agree totally. I am perfectly happy with my Ar Tonelico 2.

People HAVE GOT TO realize there are people who cannot read Japanese. It's better to have a game with 20 glitches than one I cannot understand nor play because I can't understand it.

So yes, please let's release AT3 in America. Right now I completely rely on NISA to bring these games to me.

Doesn't take but a few months to get a good grasp on Japanese... Reading well can take an extra while but a lot of new games are almost fully voiced.
