recommendations for England? shows or museums?
Hi, I'm going to England to see relatives after a conference (boondoggle) in Spain and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about --
1. Good magic shows to see in London or other parts of England? I also have relatives in Cheshire, the Lake District, and Brighton area so does not have to be London.
2. Good magic museums, shops, etc. there? Opportunities for quick but good lessons? Libraries open to I.B.M. members? etc.
Tnx,
Bill

Re: recommendations for England? shows or museums?
Bill,
In London there are two shops - Davenports and International Magic. Davenports is a little hard to find as its in the tube station. International Magic is street level closer to the British Museum. With the exchange rate, I didn't make many purchases.
The staff at Davenports should be able to tell you about shows. They may be able to get you into the Magic Circle.

There is also Repro Magic which isn't near a tube station so you'll have to take a cab.
The only magic museum would be in the Magic Circle HQ. Shela at the Market Magic Shop is a member and can probably tell you how to get in.
Monday Night Magic is no longer playing as far as I know and I don't know of any current shows in town.
