All change again

Just to let everyone know that Simpson has transferred ownership to me and I thought it would be a good idea to try and turn this into a genuinely democratic board so that no individual has complete control over it.

To be honest I don't know Uber but that is why I am trying to introduce the model of democratic ownership and moderation that we talked about last month. Individuals (no matter how well meaning) should not be able to change ownership or make decisions entirely on their own and there should be some form of accountability to the board at large.

I imagine it will be baby steps as we have a small active membership but I think it is worth trying. Hopefully we can move to a democratic community management model in the next 3 weeks if people put themselves forward as wanting to moderate the board.

Are you going to be able to get the members such as Kylie, to return? Cos frankly its getting a bit boring on here recently.

I doubt Glitter will return and I am not sure about Kylie. I think the board is going through a very quiet phase at the moment and it may or may not recover.

Having said that the board was slowly dying before the recent changes and part of the argument (that then exploded) was looking at the causes of this decline in new members, regular posters, etc and determining the way forward. We had only had a couple of new regular posters join in the last 12 months and lost several times that in terms of regular forum posters.
