RCN accepts 3 year pay deal

http://www.rcn.org.uk/newsevents/news/article/uk/rcn_accepts_three-year_pay_deal

Apparently 92.7% of those who voted were in favour of the 3 year pay deal. I don't know how many voted but I haven't spoken to anyone who voted 'yes'. In fact, I've hardly found anyone who bothered to vote. emoticon

Well, if they couldn't be bothered to vote, then they have to just put up with the outcome as they did sweet FA to influence it. Tough noogies.

I voted no but think Simpson 's right, all too often people don't use their democratic freedom but complain things aren't as they'd like them to be. That goes for union and political voting.

You're both absolutely right. I couldn't agree with you more.

I'm in the RCN and never knew anything about the vote!

I assume UNISON will boot this rediculous offer out or have they accepted it as well?

I think the RCM and Unite have opposed it.

Well the RCM have always been more politically active than the rest of the profession. The question should be asked, why don't the nmc get involved, after all it is going to make it harder to recruit British nurses as the real value of the income reduces.

You could always move up here to Jockland.
Our government have even been praised by English doctors for stopping privitisation of health centres at the border. emoticon
