Quite how Jacqui Smith thinks this is going to work I don't know. A&E's have enough problems without them having to worry about offenders being escorted around departments gawping at people who've been stabbed. As a nurse I wouldn't support people trooping through my department like this and I can't see that if I was a patient in an A&E I'd be too happy about it either.
Re: Knife offenders visiting hospitals I think it's a crap idea. Traipsing a load of spotty kids around a hospital to gawk at the patients. Not to mention the over worked A+E staff that will be forced to trip over them.
