Unused drugs costs NHS millions

I don't know if I would want to take recycled drugs. This is a complicated problem and needs more than solution but perhaps dispensing some drugs in smaller quantities would help.

The thing is that a fortune could be saved if the government didn't insist on every person in nursing homes having to have their own medications, this leads to a massive waste and extra expence of having to dispense the drugs.

Hmmm but I have my own medication and even if my next door neighbour was on the same it would save nothing if we shared a prescription

Actually if you both pay for your prescriptions then it would save money. Prescription costs are per item so if two people have one item then they only pay once.
So it might be worth asking around to see if any of your friends or neighbours are on the same medication as you. You could be getting it for half price!!! Even better if you have a friend or relative over 60 then you could end up getting them free!!
I think you have just come up with a woderfull way of beating them system; so simple I'm surprised no-one has thought of it before. emoticon

I already reduce the cost because my GP kindly supplies a prescription requesting 3 months worth of drugs at a time.

Most GP's will do a three month script for long term medicines if you ask them. They just don't tend to think of it themselves.
