I've seen bits of equipment get through sterilisation departments where they've been used and not washed properly but still gone through the sterilisation process, packed up and shelved ready to be used again. Disgusting.
Re: Concern over dirty equipment The "in house" sterilisation is done by private companies employed by the trusts, it isn't truly in house in the way that nursing, and medicine is.
