Even if they do love you why put up with it though? Why not just ask for inclusion and acceptance rather than saying well they love me and hate my sin is better than simple they hate me.
It is like accepting domestic violence because the rest of the time they love you but sometimes they just lose it half a thing is not really any better than none at all and sometimes it is worse.
Plus I often think that tolerance is preached but not really practiced. Hypocrisy is rife within religion and religious people.

I think simpson it's the levels and the frequency which galls many people. Having been through the catholic education system, let me tell you from experience, when it comes to hypcrisy - they're experts. Similarly good muslim men who decry homosexuality then go cruising the Edgware Road, etc. etc.

Oh I think there is - setting themselves up up to be so perfect, being so self righteous and pious, of course they're bound to fall foul of their own standards from time to time. As you say, all humans are fallible, and the problem with most religions is they have an unreal view on human fallibility, not to mention bizarre ideas about human sexuality and relationships.
