Disabilitity Discrimination Act Currently the Disability Discrimination Act is a Civil Law, this means that many companies and employers simply ignore the regulations which are supposed to aid disabled people. If the Law was altered to being a criminal action, as is race discrimination, then disabled people might get the protection which this act is supposed to imbue.
