sooo pleased for chick...maybe fox can be trained to be nice to the chick...or just trade fox...when do you start job and whats it like?

Well awaiting the clearance that i was warned it might take a while, got medical clearance and one of the people who i am using for my ref is away until 20th July.
So might be a while yet and then i have to give a months notice.

nice chatting to you in the meantime...so do you plan to fit a hol inbetween or isnt it likely....do you thimk that if you let on about the chick and the fox they will still give you clearance...ALL THE BEST and hope its not too much longer before you get started emoticon emoticon emoticon

Not surprised, clearnace may take a while, don't give in your notice until you have received your

Hi all i am back from my 2 wks holidays in Turkey and the Hr have contacted me to say my clearance is back and all is going ok, but my employees have still not sent in my ref from 4 wks ago ??? i am back in work Monday so i will be asking them why.
I asked them before i went away on my holidays 2 wks ago and they said they would send it off >>>>> why are they doing this its so unfair. emoticon

Speak to your referees and ask them what's happened with them. Maybe speak to your future employer and ask if they would be happy to accept verbal references and get some dates and times that your referees will be available to speak with them. I always tend to follow up references with a verbal ref anyway - you get much more information about your prospective employee that way. Alternatively point them in our direction - I'm sure you'd get a great reference from everyone on here! emoticon

Thank you for the good advice i will contact HR on Monday and she what i can sort out.
Thanks for the kind offer of ref Oaktree i appreciate the support.
I just want to get in there and get started and it has been a long time >>> dont want to seem inpatient.

Hi, Update
I have just contacte HR and they cannot except a verbal ref. or the kind offer of a ref from my friends on this wonderful site.
I asked if they can ask again for my place of work to hurry up and send the ref as i no they have had it for over 4wks now and i am limbo.
What else can i do ??????.
Please help as this is all i am waiting on and then i think i can hand in my notice.

I don't think you can do anything other than have a word with your referees and let them know the stress this is causing you.
