Re: I GOT THE JOB OK did the rat arse thing and its another day and i am so Pi.... off at my place of work this is so unfair.
Spoke to hr and they are going to send another one for ref marked urgent and directly to MY manager again.
when i get in work on monday i will speak to them again and ask why they are doing this and causing me so much stress.
If they dont send it in the next wk i wont be able to start until Nov OMG.
Oh well will chill till Mon.

Re: I GOT THE JOB Just think of it as nice to be wanted...but dont let this dissuade you from letting them realise how unfair they ar bieng...even if they have a high percentage of staff references to write at the moment and still working their way throught them on top of everything else. Our manager is doing their nut at mo cos everyone is looking for other jobs and demands for references are coming in thick and fast alonside the aplication forms they arre having to sort through and the interviews they have to hold for old job vacancies only recently started to be filled...hopefully....meanwhile we have few staff and still they are deserting the ship...and the later vacancies will not be replaced....talk about vicious circles...

I have spoken to the manager again today and explained that if i loose this job because they dont send back the ref, then i will be seeking advice from a solicitor.
Re: I GOT THE JOB Just to cover yourself run it past your union rep and get them to ask the relevant people why they are not doing your ref, if things do go wrong (and they won't) it won't be a bad thing if you can show union invovlement.
