Re: courses

the first two course you really need are first aid to cover you when you are carrying a emergency response radio and a control and restraint course for when you aren't emoticon

Re: courses

Thank you, i have now done both these courses.
I have just this morning finished my seven nights and OMG what a eye opener it was to say the least.
The emergency response radio was always going off and not always for the correct manner in which it was meant for>>> you all no what i mean.
I am knackered and looking forward to my 7 days off>>> back new years eve on a late.
I am sorry i have not posted for a while but no excuses>> i have been really busy.
I am still loving my job and learning more every day.
MERRY XMAS.

Re: courses

The use on days, and nights, of the radio are very different, but I definately know how you feel after 7 nights on, especially if you were busy. The poor sod doing it this week will have it worse though. Chritmas day is notoriously bad.

Re: courses

Hi i was wondering if the prison service have a fund to help people do courses as there are 2 i would like to do but i cannot afford them myself as they are 300 each for 3 days each course.
These are good acreditied courses that i feel will assist me in my duties.
I was thinking of asking if the HC will pay for one and me the other ??? any help gratefully received.
The courses i was meant to be doing have never materialised so thought i would try to organise these myself. emoticon
