Re: PAY

After 6months you should go up one increment provided you have fulfilled any targets set by your manager.

Re: PAY

Fish, you should have sorted this out when you were offered the new job. This is the best time to have these types of conversations.

If you have signed a contract agreeing to pay and conditions you have said you think these are correct and since you only did it recently now saying you are not being given the correct pay may not make much sense.

Have a word with your unit manager, or whichever Governor is responsible they are usually quite helpfull.

Also you should find your original increment date on the last payslip from the NHS trus, sometimes the new emplyer needs to see a copy of that as under AfC guidelines if you remain on same band in new job increment date stays the same.

Re: PAY

Yes, check the contract, they often just put the lowerst pay point (hoping you wont notice?) I always amend and sign my amendment before sending it back with a copy of my last payslip which shows both your current pay and your increment date.
Your first increment should have been at 6months...which job where you in? you may need to go back to your previous employer to query this and it is very common for them to deny knowing anything about a 6month inc for NQs! Watch your pay carefully, the increase is due in Nove and some or all of the back pay...dont be tricked into thinking this is your 6month pay rise!
