Human Givens

I am wondering if any of you in Mental Health (or other specialties) have an opinion on this approach and any experience of using it?

Well as far as I can work out it's a bio- psycho - social model of psychotherapy. Someone suggested it as a treatment for depression I heard a cd that made very plausible statements about the biology and psycho social explaination of dpression that made real sense to me. But before I go and find a practitioner I'd like to know more. Apparently fairly locally it's an approach reccommended in General Practice.
Oh and the cd came from this place http://www.mindfields.org.uk/?pid=3

It's a word I vaguely remember from a lecture but don't use. Your links explanation sounds remarkably similar to Maslow's Hierarchy of needs. The basics we need to furnish before self actualisation such as food, shelter, sex etc. A lot of psychological models use these principles.

wheel, round, reinvented, blah blah.
