Got an interview

First one in 8yrs next week so a bit nervous. A sideways step but better location.

Got to give a 10 min presentation on 'Leading the developmant of patient services: The role of a nurse specialist in an acute hospital'

Any advice on the above would be most welcome

Depends on the clinical speciality
Look at Darzi and any of the NSF's that apply to the speciality. Pick out the relevant bits

Respiratory,

Got an NSF out soon, up to speed with ward education, patient group directions, link nurses, journal club, politics between physicians and ward staff, multidiciplinary working....just feel I am/might be missing something

You may get asked something on change management. Also think about the hospital commuity links ( even though you will be workingin the acute sector).

Have you had an informal visit? Crucial to get the low down on things and job description and to be able to probe more into what they are looking for.
