Think that's due to EU employment law and we'd have same rights in Poland................another one to set Uber off

We do, but then there is no benefit for us to go abroad for hospital treatment, because we would have to pay for it, whereas there is evidence that european women come here to have babies, and others demand treatment they couldn't get in their own countries, without ever having paid a penny in tax in our country.

Where oh where is Kylie when you need him? I'd argue that there are many european countries where healthcare provision is better than in the UK.

Is that a blanket statement ? Not all european women come to the UK to give birth, I can think of a number of countries that I'd prefer to the UK in terms of maternity services

Surely if you have EHIC that entitles you to free and reduced rates healthcare with the ability to claim back monies paid when you return to the UK?

It also costs you to get treatment, whereas ours as so many foreigners from europe are finding is free at the point of treatment.

As ever a ridiculous response to a serious statement, where else could you give birth without having to pay a fortune for a doctor to deliver you.

That's easier said than done, and how long is it before you get a small proportion of what you paid out for back, it's the reason why you need travel insurance to go to europe as well as everywhere else because you have to pay out.

Spain. Their public service provision is free with a european health card. It's just that people are too lazy to go to the nearest public hospital and call a private doctor instead.

Let me see you could choose a midwife to attend you in:
US
Cananda
Japan
New Zealand
Australia
Austra
Belgium
Bulgaria
Cyprus
Czech republic
Denmark
Estonia
Finland
France
Germany
Greece
Hungary
Italy
Luxembourg
Poland
Romania
Russia
Spain
Sweden

And very often midwives in these countries are educated to Masters level

Not sure you would get free midwifery care in America.

I don't think you'll get anything free in America; except possibly gunshot wounds!

Not true, and you don't need a masters degree to be able to assist women in what is a natural occurrance, any more than you need one to be a competent nurse.
