Welcome and introductions

HI this is a new thread to say hello to everyone on the board and introduce ourselves. I will create another one where you can learn all about the fabulous moderators as well.

Re: Welcome and introductions

Hi, what a good idea. OK then, I am a refugee from another site that closed down and then tried to re open! I have been a nurse for nearly 30 years, and work in central england. Recently made the transition from acute care to be a community nurse. I am into; football, travelling, family and friends. I am a member of the labour party but seriously thinking of leaving. And Ispend too much of my spare time on Nurses Home ( or so my other half tells me)

Small point, why a seperate thread for the moderators??

Re: Welcome and introductions

Well, here goes!

I live in Brighton, and am just a teensy bit gay. I've been a nurse for almost a little over 20 years, with a break of almost 5 years teaching English in Brazil. Now living in the UK with my Brazilian sex god (that's what he tells me he is!).

Working in a hospice, but have loads of previous experience in HIV/AIDS.

Love eating and drinking, reading, swimming, the cinema and the internet. Also love to travel and this evening I am flying off to Brazil for 3 weeks of glorious sun shine.

Hello I'm wobbly bits which is an accurate physical description of. I'm more or less aged to perfection despite having been a nurse for far too long. I manage a small nursing home for older people. Suffer from serious trolley rage when shopping, embarrass my daughters by singing out loud when in town and some how get through each day without taking a knife to my husband.

Re: Welcome and introductions

Hi,
I've been nursing since the Nursing Process was an innovation, in ICU for the last 20 years interspersed with a bit of breeding and recently, a lot more teaching.
Still love my job and especially like meeting energetic, idealistic, motivated students/ newly qualified nurses.

I like watching Rugby and live music and spending too much time in front of my PC.
I hate housework and traffic wardens.

I live with my husband, three daughters, one at uni and our spaniel *****.
