Re: Welcome and introductions

Hi, I'm Ade or better known as The Wizard on the Runboard Circuit. I'm not into Harry Potter an all that in case your wondering why I chose the name, long story cut short is that I'm quite good on fixing things etc when using computers programs etc. Not a computer geek though...lol

So, a little about me....

Age 46, Married for 16yrs with 2 great kids. After leaving the Army I did variety of jobs but after a few years doing in between jobs I found the NHS and have been there ever since.

I work as a General Porter and love it. OK the pay isn't that special but the work is very rewarding, and overtime is always plentiful.

We do walk a lot in an 8hr shift, usually 5-10miles average. I also work on the 'bank' as a HSA too when needed.

I'm a practicing Buddhist, Freelance writer for Computer Magazines in my spare time. I also teach Aikido (Japanese Martial Art) in which I hold a 3rd Dan Black Belt. Along side this I also teach Self Defence and Close Quarter Combat skills to Security Firms and Companies who employ people as Doormen at Pubs/Nightclubs etc.

I love to work with Computers and have very good knowledge with them, that's why I have setup my own Computer Workshop here on Runboard. It can give you much knowledge and help if you need it from Programming, Graphics, Q's & A's, Windows XP & Vista Tips and much more

Ta da !!

Re: Welcome and introductions

Wow, I like this board. Found it by accident. Anyway, I live in Tennessee and I'm an LPN. I've been a Hospice Nurse for 10 of my 15 years of nursing. I've also done a little Nursing Home work, Dr.Office (for me, too much proximity with MD's for comfort!) and I did some marketing for a Home Infusion company. Hospice is my niche though. I started working on my RN through one of these study at home and test out courses, but it's been slow and I think I've just decided I'm not motivated enough. I love what I do and am paid well. When I see all the administrative, supervisory, and Insurance junk the RNs have to deal with, I think "Why?", when all I really want is to take care of my patient and his/her family. Plus...I'm 47 y/o and I simply enjoy my free time. My daughter is married with a family of her own, so I can do pretty much what I want. I've been married just 5 years and between us we have 4 adult children and 5 1/2 grandchildren (one due any day now!). Besides my work, I'm active in my Church which I love. I also enjoy horseback riding, reading, hiking/camping, dancing, and being on the lake. I love animals and have a horse, 4 cats and a blue-heeler.

Hi, I posted yesterday without seeing this bit.

Someone who mentors me mentioned this site and so I came to have a look. I work in a Hospital and am a matron for medicine.

I dont know what has happened here because one of the sections seems to be missing but this area looks fun.
