What are you reading at the moment?

Want to revive this as I'm such a bookie and always out for recommendations.

Have just finished "The Square" by Marguerite Duras. Very deep and thought provoking, which is probably why she kept it so short. Wonderfully poignant ending.

Fluffy holiday read was Sophie Kinsella's "The Undomestic Godess" (I know it's chick-lit, but gay men are allowed. Her books are simply hysterical)

I'm now reading "The Wine of Solitude" by Irene Nemirovsky about a very acrimonious mother/daughter relationship in early 20th century Ukraine.

What's your nose in at the moment?

Well, actually I am reading your post not right now, but just before I stopped reading and started writing.

I read the "The Undomestic Goddess" while on hols this year, I like easy reads and like you Kylie I think Sophie Kinsella is good for a giggle.
Have decided to read "The Time Travelers" Wife again this summer, read it 2 years ago and loved it.
Just finished "Saturday" by Ian McEwan wasn't overly impressed.

Delightful or what! I read the first five No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency books and thought "The Kalahari Typing School For Men" was the best. I thought that by the fifth though ("The Full Cupboard of Life") McCall-Smith was running out of steam, hence I'm frightened to read the two newest ones in case they've really gone off the boil. I'd be delighted if somebody can tell me my suspicions are wrong.

Finally finished Irene Nemirovsky - excellent but but very depressing. About to launch into Mo Mowlem's memoirs "Momentum"

Have you read his 44 Scotland Street?
My wife and daughter rant about it. I have to confess that I have not got round to him yet.

I have to confess I thought no other charachters could possibly compare to Mma Ramotswe, so I stayed off his other books, but perhaps I should give it a go.
