Well he can only be guided by the Man upstairs who did after all destroy Soddom and Gommorah and then turned Lots wife into a pillar of salt cos she had the audacity to have a fly peek! I am sure that the odd earthquake or two would not be outwith His capability.

In the land of the old testament what else would make sense? If you believe the bible is the word of God and that God is the same as the guy who asks people to sacrifice their son and sends plagues of locusts then of course you believe an earthquake is a sign of Gods displeasure.
I am just surprised it wasnt a landslide victory for such scientific thinking! !

Because it is a democracy does not make it ok though Simpson. They have still treated the palestinians appallingly.
I have some sympathy on both sides but am not letting them off because they are a so called democracy. As a democracy they abduct people usually civilians, use military might to subject citizens, annex valuable lands and object to the people of palestine voting the wrong way in a free election. Gaza is basically a huge prison where they contain people in order to systematically get them out of Israel.

Simpson you are so wrong, Israel has not only ever acted in its own defense.
Lets take the Israeli invasion of the lebanon. It was a serious breach of international law and Israel committed war crimes as it went along. Lets take the Israeli habit of capturing civilians (much more awful than capturing soldiers) and treating them appallingly. Holding prisoners without charge, violating the rights of palestinians on all sides for a long long time and refusing them basic rights as citizens. Even when seen as a historical error the refusal to recognise the palestinian people and passion is not acting in its own defense but subjugating another race.

The Israeli action in Lebanon was directed against Hezbollah. It was a response to Hezbollah sneaking over the border and kidnapping two Israeli soldiers. It was also the result of constant provocation by Hezbollah, launching rockets into Israeli towns just over the border, killing and injuring men women and children. Any Lebanese deaths are totally and utterly the fault of Hezbollah who, being cowardly fascist scum, hid among the civilian population when launching their missiles into Israeli civilian areas.
What basic rights are Palestinians denied as "citizens"? They are not citizens of Israel, they are citizens of the Palestinian Authority. If Israel denies them full citizenship rights, they are no different from any other country on the planet. But of course, Israel gets singled out for criticism. Why? I think we can all work out why.
What are you babbling on about "capturing civilians"? Which civilians? Do you mean the terrorists in Israeli jails by any chance? By what bizarre, parallel-universe definition are they "civilians"?
The Palestinians were offered a state on four separate occasions since 1947. In each case, they turned it down. If their Jew-hating leaders weren't so obsessed with destroying Israel, perhaps they'd have actually managed to create a state for themselves instead of wallowing in hatred and self-pity for 60 years.
"Subjugation of another race" - do me a favour. This is Israel-hatred of the most tedious, uninformed kind. You do know that Israel is a multiracial society, don't you? You do know that "Israeli" isn't a synonym for "Jewish", don't you? You do know that there are Arab Israelis and that they enjoy complete equality in law, representation in the Knesset and full civil rights, don't you?

I cant argue with someone who asks what basic rights palestinians are denied, blames others for the actions of Israel in breaking international law and justifies Israeli torture and capture of civilians.
I am not a Jew hater being partly jewish myself Simpson so you will get nowhere there either.
